JAKARTA - A motorcyclist of the Vespa matic type B 5375 THO died when he was hit by a Transjakarta bus corridor 5 heading PGC - Harmoni, at the TL T-junction of Jalan Otista Raya, Bidara Cina, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Thursday, August 4, evening.

According to eyewitness testimony, Ashanul Bimo, the incident occurred when the traffic light was green for a Transjakarta bus coming from Cawang to Kampung Melayu. While the red light for public vehicles that will turn to the right. Suddenly the victim using a Vespa motorbike ran through a red light until he was finally hit.

"The motorbike was about to overtake the bus lane, and it kept getting hit. After checking, the motorbike was there, but no one was there. After searching, I didn't know who it was under (under Transjakarta)," said Bimo.

After hitting the victim, the Transjakarta bus has not stopped the vehicle. The locals tried to catch up and stop the bus. Because at that time the victim was still under the Transjakarta bus.

"Transjakarta didn't stop at first it was still running, finally it was banged on (the mirror). The victim's head was stuck under a Transjakarta tire," he said.

The victim's body was evacuated to the RSCM. Meanwhile, passengers on the Transjakarta bus were diverted to other Transjakarta buses.

Meanwhile, members of the Polda Metro Jaya who arrived at the location immediately processed the crime scene and secured evidence as well as the Transjakarta driver. The case is handled by the Traffic Traffic Unit of the Polda Metro Jaya.
