Bobby Nasution Invites Young People To Awaken The Economy Of Medan City

MEDAN - Mayor of Medan, North Sumatra, Bobby Nasution invites young people to be creative and innovate in every event held to stimulate the economy in the city of Medan.

"We always support (support) so that young people can continue to be creative," Bobby said in Medan as reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 1.

The Medan City Government, he said, welcomes every event held, especially by presenting, displaying and encouraging young people to continue to be creative.

The mayor wants in the future in other events to be even more massive by still complying with and paying attention to health aspects, especially for visitors.

Data from the Medan City SME Cooperative Agency data shows that the number of MSMEs in this area is 27,753 units, consisting of 22,213 micro-enterprises, 5,447 small-scale businesses, and 103 medium-sized businesses.

It is known that the Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution became a speaker in the event to sell various works of Indonesian fashion, including the City of Medan at the Atrium Deli Park Mall, Medan, Sunday (31/7).

"Considering that the COVID-19 condition is still engulfing us, we urge our friends to present a booster vaccine injection service. Just tell the Medan City Government for us to present the vaccinator," he explained.

Through various events held by millennials, his party hopes that young people can help promote tourism in the city of Medan, so that it is more widely known.

As is known, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that the population of Indonesia until 2020 was dominated by Generation Z or people born in the 1997-2012 period, and millennials born in the 1981-1996 period.

The results of the 2020 Population Census conducted by BPS in February-September 2020, the number of generation Z reached 75.49 million people or 27.94 percent of the total population of 270.2 million people, and the millennial generation 69.90 million people or 25.87 percent.
