Thrown Canceled But Flushed, Student Political Block Continues To Flush Urination At The Kominfo Office

JAKARTA - The Student Political Block (BPP) group canceled the event of throwing "pee bottles" together at the office of the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo). The action was the aftermath of the blocking of a number of applications and sites by Kominfo.

Even though the call for throwing "bottle pee" together failed to be carried out, the Political Block continued to carry out its own action at the Kominfo Building, Central Jakarta, on August 1.

"We are still responsible for coming to the location and taking action to flush water at the Kemkominfo building," wrote the Student Political Block statement on its Instagram account, @blokpolitikpelajar, Monday 1 August.

According to Blok Politics, this action is an outpouring of frustration with the Kominfo policy that blocks a number of digital platforms, such as Steam, Paypal, CSGO, Yahoo, Origin (EA), Steam, Dota, Xandr.com, Paypal to Epic Games.

The Ministry of Communication and Informatics argued that it was blocked because a number of applications and sites were not officially registered in government data based on the deadline given on Wednesday, July 20. Therefore, the blocking is carried out based on the provisions of the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Information Number 5 of 2020 concerning Private Scope PSEs.

"The blocking has an impact on losses for digital workers. This pee is a symbol that Kominfo is more worthy of being a WC rather than dealing with public problems," the statement continued.

In this action there were no victims of arrests, victims of violence from any party, and damage as alleged by the Coalition in its release.

"This is also a message to any public that the anger towards the Power, especially the Communications and Information Technology cannot be contained. Hopefully we can express this anger in a crowd, in the future," the statement said.
