SEMARANG - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo encouraged several institutions to sit down at one table to discuss the ease of paying vehicle taxes. Because according to Ganjar, the ease of payment is the main indicator for people to comply with taxes.

This was conveyed by Ganjar after opening a meeting of the National Samsat Development Team at the Gradhika Bhakti Praja Building. The event was attended by Kakorlantas Inspector General of Police Firman Shantyabudi, Director of Jasa Raharja Rivan A. Purwantono, representatives of the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) and the ranks of Dirlantas Polda Central Java.

He said, there are still difficulties experienced by the community when paying their vehicle tax. So it is important to improve the easier tax payment system.

"Then in terms of income, because this is regional income, taxpayers make it easy. But there are still requirements that we haven't really made easy, so we need to agree," said Ganjar in an official statement from the provincial government, Monday, August 1.

Ganjar said that the easy and fast tax payment system also increases people's obedience. The regulations, said Ganjar, must also be clear and not harm any party.

"Mr. Kakorlantas, Jasa Raharja continues with the region, the Ministry of Home Affairs is also present to find the best solution by creating a good system so that it obeys traffic, pays taxes. I have coordinated, fix everything," said Ganjar.

In addition, Ganjar also appealed to motorized vehicle drivers to obey the rules of Law (UU) No. 22 of 2009 Article 74 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation (LLAJ).

The regulation states that it will delete the registration and identification of motorized vehicles that do not re-register the STNK and payment of taxes for two years, which is calculated from the expiry of the STNK validity period.

"We want to socialize the enforcement of traffic rules, especially for drivers who own motorized vehicles. So I tell motorists to be disciplined, public transport to be disciplined," said Ganjar.

On the other hand, Ganjar said the implementation of this rule could work if it was accompanied by massive and appropriate socialization. This is because the regulations related to vehicle documents and taxes are still not maximized.
