COVID-19 Update As Of July 29: New Cases 5,831, Recovers Increase By 4,485

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 109,516 specimens were examined with the result that there were 5,831 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,197,495 people and active cases rose by 1,333 to 47,988 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Friday, July 29.

Today's recovered cases increased by 4,485 people, bringing the total to 5,992,537 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 13 cases and the total was 156,970 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 2,987 cases and a total of 1,326,014 cases. Followed by West Java with 1,095 new cases with a total of 1,132,545 cases. Banten with 717 new cases and a total of 310,573 cases. East Java with 324 new cases and a total of 584,669 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today is DKI Jakarta with an additional 2,392 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 869 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 446 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 365 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 103,472,603.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 5.94 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 6,418 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 202,421,139 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 170,021,885 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 55,781,141 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
