Jampidmil Handles 4 Corruption Cases In A Year

JAKARTA - The Deputy Attorney General for Military Crimes (Jampidmil) handled four cases of connected corruption within a year to June 2022.

"This number has increased by three cases from the previous year, with the value of assets that have been secured and reported to the Case Handling Officer (Papera) in this case the Army Chief of Staff (Kasad) of Rp 54.5 billion," said Jampidmil Anwar Saadi in a written statement. reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 28.

The performance achievements were conveyed in the inauguration, oath taking, and handover of the position of director of Jampidmil Enforcement at the Kartika Adhyaksa Tower, Attorney General's Office, Jakarta.

Anwar explained that within one year of carrying out its duties and functions, Jampidmil has coordinated the prosecution of cases carried out by the Military Authority and the handling of connectivity cases, as mandated in Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 15 of 2021.

Jampidmil also carries out the coordination function of 153 activities, an increase of 146 activities from the first semester of 2021.

This performance achievement, according to him, cannot be separated from the optimal support of all the staff of the Attorney General's Office (AGO), especially the young attorney generals and heads of the Education and Training Agency of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office as well as the heads of the High Prosecutor's Office and the District Attorney's Office.

In addition, he continued, there is also full support from the TNI's legal task force, especially the ranks of the TNI Military Police investigators (Puspom TNI), the Army Military Police Center (Puspomad), the TNI AL Military Police Center (Puspomal) and the Military Police Center (Puspom). TNI AU, Legal Development Agency (Babinkum) TNI, Oditur General TNI, Assistant Personnel (Aspers) to the TNI Commander, and also Aspers Cash Forces.

He assessed that with the realization of the assignment of TNI personnel to the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, it shows the stronger commitment to cooperation, the better between the two institutions in the field of law enforcement.

This is evidenced by the 20 office spaces of the Aspidmil (Military Criminal Assistant) and three sub-directorate offices at Jampidmil for the colonel rank group and one sub division office space at the Jampidmil Secretariat for the Lieutenant Colonel rank.

"So far, nine TNI personnel with the rank of colonel have occupied the Aspidmil office in several High Prosecutor's Offices," he said.

Anwar hopes that in the near future, other unfilled office spaces can be fulfilled, in order to optimize law enforcement performance, especially in handling connectivity cases.

During the event, Brigadier General Kiswari took the oath as Director of Enforcement, replacing Brigadier General Edi Imron because he was entering his retirement period.
