JAKARTA - The former Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Roy Suryo has been investigated as a suspect in the case of the Borobudur Temple stupa meme that resembles Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The police confirmed that Roy Suryo's condition was healthy before the series of examinations began.

"Today, thank God, before the examination began, Brother Roy Suryo stated that his condition was in good health, so an examination was carried out," said Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Thursday, July 28.

Originally, the telematics expert had been under investigation since 13.00 WIB.

However, regarding the possibility that Roy Suryo will be detained after the investigation is complete, Zulpan is reluctant to speculate. This will be decided by the investigative team.

"We'll see the developments later because the investigation hasn't been completed yet. We'll tell our colleagues later," said Zulpan.

Polda Metro Jaya has scheduled a follow-up examination of Roy Suryo in the case of the Borobudur Temple stupa meme that resembles President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), on Thursday, July 28. Later, the ex-Menpora will be given a statement as a suspect.

This examination is a continuation of the previous one. This is because the information-taking process, on Friday, July 22, had to be postponed

The examination lasted approximately 12 hours. Where, Roy began to provide information at 10.30 WIB and came out at around 22.18 WIB.

In this case, Roy Suryo was charged with Article 28 Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 45 Paragraph 2 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning ITE.
