After 3 Years Of Confinement, Bulgarian Citizen Ex-Convict Of The ITE Law Handed Over To Labuan Bajo Immigration

NTT - The Class III Immigration Office of TPI Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) temporarily detained the national color (WN) from Bulgaria with the initials MGS. The man was previously detained at the Ruteng Class II B Detention Center, Manggarai Regency.

Head of Immigration Class III TPI Labuan Bajo, Jaya Mahendra said MGS was handed over to Labuan Bajo Immigration, because his detention period had ended.

"The man from Bulgaria has finished his prison term, so he will then become a detainee at the Labuan Bajo Immigration," he said, according to Antara.

MGS itself is known to have served a three-year prison term after previously being convicted of committing a crime related to Electronic Information and Transactions and violating Article 30 Paragraph (3) of Law NO. 19 of 2016.

Jaya added, when handed over to the Immigration, the officers then checked the completeness of the Bulgarian citizen, such as taking photos, fingerprints, and other documents.

Then proceed with a baggage check and a health check at the Clinic to ensure that the person concerned is healthy.

Head of Subdivision of Information Technology and Immigration Intelligence in Labuan Bajo, Chistian Prantigo, said that the Bulgarian man was released from the detention center in accordance with Ruteng Class II B Rutan Release Letter number: W22.EF.PK.1399.

Currently, said Chistian, MGS has been placed in the detention room of the Labuan Bajo Immigration Office while waiting for deportation to his country of origin.

"For the deportation schedule in the near future, which is definitely before August 5," he said.

Furthermore, Jaya added that the deportation of the detainees will be carried out as soon as possible after the person concerned has fulfilled the complete documents and departure requirements.

"Before deporting or repatriating foreign nationals to their country of origin, we will ensure that the person concerned has fulfilled the requirements for complete travel documents so as to prevent problems during the repatriation process," he said.

The Bulgarian citizen also said that Jaya would be put on the banned list to enter Indonesia.
