JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno invites millennials to continue to promote culture in the region. One of them is by holding regular arts and cultural festivals.

Sandiaga said that when he attended the Kutai Kartanegara (Kukar) Creative Regency (KaTa) workshop, East Kalimantan.

Sandiaga congratulated Kutai Kartanegara Regency for being the creative economy performing arts subsector. According to him, local governments can facilitate sustainable solutions through innovative works.

"I saw earlier that we can package the best works, ranging from films, music, to performing arts in an innovative way," said Sandiaga in a written statement, Monday, July 25.

Sandiaga encouraged the Head of Service and the Regent of East Kalimantan to make the Tenggarong International Folk and Art Festival (TIFAF) an annual agenda. It is hoped that traditional cultural arts in the region can extend to the international level.

"The Tenggarong International Folk and Art Festival (TIFAF) is expected to become a routine agenda. To Mr. Kadis and Mr. Regent this activity must be submitted to the charisma of the Nusantara event," said Sandiaga.

"I am very grateful to the Minister, this can introduce the culture of East Kalimantan to the younger generation," he said.
