BANDUNG - The West Java Regional Police stated that the alleged case of being forced to have sex with a cat that happened to an 11-year-old boy in Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java, has moved up to the investigation stage.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo, said that his party raised the status based on the discovery of criminal allegations when conducting a case

"In it, it was found that there was a "bully" condition, indeed because there were circumstances beyond the control of the victim, so it can be concluded that there was indeed a bullying condition", Ibrahim said in Bandung as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 25.

According to the investigation, three children were suspected of being involved in the bullying case. But so far, he said, there have been no allegations related to the involvement of adults in the bullying case.

"Regarding the treatment of the suspect because he is still a child, we will use the juvenile justice system by Law Number 11 of 2012 so that later the process and mechanism will have certain treatment", he said.

He explained that the case allegedly occurred on June 14, 2022, when the children, including the victim, were playing. Then a few moments later, said Ibrahim, a video of the alleged bullying accompanied by immoral acts spread to the public.

After that, according to him, the parents of a number of these children and regional officials held a meeting to discuss the matter.

"From that meeting, they both understood that this was part of the juvenile delinquency that was there so that at that time peace was made between them", he said.

Even though there has been peace, Ibrahim said the legal process in the case will continue to respond to complaints from the Regional Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAID).

"The KPAID can make a report so that we can accommodate the report made by KPAID to process this case", said Ibrahim.

There was also an incident of bullying that befell a fifth-grade elementary school boy in Tasikmalaya Regency. Apart from being bullied, the boy was allegedly forced to commit immoral acts against animals.

Then the bullying action was known from a video recording using a cellphone. The victim is now known to have died after being suspected of being bullied.
