JAKARTA - Chairman of The Jakmania, Dicky Sumarno asked PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda) to evaluate and prepare various matters related to audience safety at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).
He was grateful that the incident of the fence collapsing in one of the stands at the stadium occurred during the inauguration of JIS, not during a league match.
Because according to him, if the parapet collapsed when the league was rolling, Persija Jakarta would be fined.
"Fortunately, at the inauguration, not when the league started. If not (at the inauguration) Persija would have been fined all sorts of things, right," Dicky said as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, July 24.
Dicky compared the condition of JIS with the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) which already has more complete security facilities for the safety of supporters (audience).
SUGBK, he said, already has facilities that are safe enough for the supporter guides, aka "capos", when singing support songs.
"This means that there are many things that must be prepared, if in other places, say there is a 'stagger' in GBK for the 'capo' to sing all kinds of things. Here (JIS) doesn't exist yet," said Dicky.

"We'll check everything again later. So at the same time this is something we have to 'follow up' again and we evaluate these conditions," said Widi.
