TNI Forensic Doctor Prepared To Help Autopsy Brigadier J, TNI Commander: Maintain Credibility-Integrity

JAKARTA - TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa said his party assisted a forensic doctor to perform an autopsy on Brigadier J.

"We have only prepared one, if you want you can add it too," said General Andika, at TNI Headquarters, Jakarta, Sunday, July 24.

The TNI Commander explained that the doctor preparation was a request from the Indonesian Forensic Doctors Association. He also ensured that there was no directive to determine who the doctor would join in the process.

"Doctor F was chosen because he has competence in his field," he said.

According to him, the doctor was from the Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) and became the association's choice.

General Andika admitted that although there has been no official communication, his party is ready with human resources and supporting facilities in the form of hospitals if needed later.

"I leave a message, maintain credibility, maintain integrity. The point is that science and objectivity must be a priority," he also said.

Previously, Brigadier J's family attorney said there were irregularities in the death of Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J, which was reportedly due to a shootout. There were a number of cuts, bruises, and blue wounds, wounds on the neck suspected of being hit with certain objects, as well as wounds on the fingers and toes.

Suspicion of the injuries on Brigadier J's body prompted the family to make a police report to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police on suspicion of premeditated murder and request a re-autopsy.

Johnson Panjaitan, Brigadier J's family attorney who was met at the pre-reconstruction site at the crime scene of Inspector General Pol Ferdy Sambo's house, said the pre-reconstruction activities carried out by Metro Jaya Police were for two police reports related to harassment and muggings, not reports of suspected premeditated murder reported by his side.

"We still believe it wasn't just a shootout, there was abuse and it wasn't located here (the crime scene)," Johnson said.
