DKI Deputy Governor Riza Patria Affirms Depok Joining Jakarta Is Not The Authority Of The Regional Government

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria said that the plan for Depok City to join DKI Jakarta Province was no longer under the authority of the local government (Pemda).

"That's the authority of the central government together with our friends in the DPR. We carry out our duties according to their respective duties and authorities," said Riza, at Ancol Dreamland, Pademangan, North Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 22.

Deputy Governor Riza said the West Java Provincial Government and DKI Jakarta Provincial Government had already had their respective territories. Regarding the merger, the proposed merger of several buffer zones into Jakarta should not become an obstacle in building a better Indonesia.
