British Tourists Mugged In The Middle Of East Lombok Highway, Perpetrators Take Motorcycles Escape After Raising Parang

SELONG - CA tourists from England became victims of burglary when crossing a public road in the Wakan Village area to Batu Nampar Village, Jerowaru District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

During the action, the robbers pointed a machete at the victim and took away the motorbike the victim was riding. The victim immediately reported to the Jerowaru Police.

Reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 22, according to information gathered by journalists, before the incident, the victim would return to Kuta Beach, Central Lombok Regency where he was staying after traveling to Pink Beach, East Lombok Regency using a motorbike alone.

On the way home, the victim did not realize that he was being followed by the perpetrator and when he arrived at the scene, precisely on Jalan Embung Kao, Wakan Village towards Batu Nampar Village, the victim was stopped by the perpetrator and immediately pointed a machete so that the victim got off his motorbike.

At the time of the incident, the victim who was alone and saw the situation was quiet, immediately ran and left his motorbike so that the perpetrators took him away.

The Jerowaru Police Chief through the Head of Public Relations of the East Lombok Police, Iptu Nicolas Oesman, confirmed that there was a robbery case that happened to a foreign tourist in the Jerowaru area.

"The victim has reported this incident, and the case is under investigation by the police to identify the perpetrator," he said.
