Two Groups Of Teenagers Attack Each Other With Sharp Weapons In East Jatinegara

JAKARTA - Fights between groups of teenagers again occurred on Jalan Jatinegara Timur, Balimester Village, Jatinegara District, Wednesday, July 20, evening. The commotion was allegedly triggered by the existence of mutual challenges between groups.

The perpetrators attacked each other using sharp weapons and blunt objects. Ironically, when the brawl took place, the action was recorded by a teenager, one of the groups involved in the brawl.

In the video, it is seen that there are clashes between teenagers with sharp weapons. They were seen attacking and back and forth against each other.

The brawl can only be dissolved after the arrival of officers to the location. The video also recorded the voice of a teenager calling for the arrival of officers.

"Wind (officers), wind (officers), wind (officers), just walk," said the teenager in the video.

Subsequently, the two groups of teenagers dispersed and fled to avoid the officers who arrived at the location.

According to Budi, a resident of Jalan Jatinegara Timur, he hopes that the police can carry out routine patrols so that they can prevent repeated brawls. When the brawl occurred, he saw teenagers equipped with sharp weapons fighting each other strongly.

"Many teenagers, they are busy carrying sharp weapons. Often (brawls). Residents are restless, afraid (of being victims) of being wrong targets. Usually (the perpetrators of brawls) bring sickles, samurai, klewang to motorcycle gear," Budi told reporters, Thursday, July 21.
