The Bodies Of 13 Victims Of The KKB Shooting, Led By Egianus Kogoya In Nduga Papua, Were Evacuated By The Joint TNI-Polri Team

JAYAPURA - Joint TNI-Polri personnel supported by the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force managed to evacuate 13 victims of shootings carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led by Egianus Kogoya.

The Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police who is also the Head of the Peace Operations Public Relations Task Force Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal confirmed this. He said the evacuation process of the victims was carried out twice.

"Where the first evacuation was carried out on Saturday (16/07) at 15.30 WIT for 2 injured victims using the Police Heli Bell, 3 dead victims (MD) were evacuated using Rimbun Air. Meanwhile, 6 MD victims were evacuated using the Indonesian Air Force's Caraka Heli to Mimika Regency and 1 victim has been taken by the family for burial in Kenyam, Nduga Regency," said Kombes Kamal in a written statement, Wednesday, July 20 evening.

Kombes Kamal explained that the second evacuation process was carried out on the body of the late Roy Manimpiring which was located on the Adumama hill, Kenyam District. But this process previously did not run smoothly.

"At the location the team was interrupted by shots fired by KKB from two directions, seeing the situation and conditions that were not conducive enough, the team was forced to return and the evacuation process continued tomorrow," continued the Public Relations Kasatgas.

Kombes Kamal explained that on Wednesday at 20.45 WIT in the morning, Wednesday, July 20, the team returned to the location for the evacuation process of one of the victims of the massacre carried out by the KKB.

"The body was finally successfully evacuated from the location to the Puskesmas for further examination," added Kombes Kamal.

Currently, the body of the late Roy Manimpiring is buried at the Nduga Health Center. It is planned that on Thursday (21/7), the bodies will be flown to Mimika Regency.
