Brigadier J's Family Asks Karo Paminal And South Jakarta Police Chief To Be Deactivated, Police Will Consider It

JAKARTA - The family of Brigadier J alias Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat requested that the Karo Paminal Propam Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan and the South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Budhi Herdi be disabled in the aftermath of the bloody incident. The police responded to the request by stating that they would consider the matter.

"The National Police Chief reminded that this is always open. What will be the aspirations of all parties will be considered later," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Tuesday, July 19.

The openness of the National Police in handling the police shooting case is evidenced by the decision by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to temporarily disable Inspector General Ferdy Sambo from his position as Head of the Propam Division.

But of course all decisions must be considered first so that everything can be accounted for.

"What the National Police Chief has done to the Propam Division Head is to listen to the aspirations and consider the aspects of running transparently, accountable and fast," said Dedi.

The family of Brigadier J alias Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat previously encouraged the Head of the Internal Security Bureau (Karo Paminal) Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan and the South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto. Both are considered to have acted inappropriately.

For Karo Paminal it is considered a violation of the principle of justice. He is said to have forbade the family to open the casket of Brigadier J.

"Karo Paminal must be replaced because he is part of the problem and part of all the problems that arise because he is the one who sent the bodies and put pressure on the family to (forbid, ed) open the coffin," said Brigadier J's family attorney, Johnson Pandjaitan.

In addition, the South Jakarta Metro Police Chief was also asked to be removed from his position. The reason he led the investigation process.

Another lawyer for Brigadier J's family, Kamaruddin Simanjuntak, said that Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto was deemed to have worked inappropriately with procedures to uncover this bloody incident.

The types of violations referred to include the absence of a suspect determination. In addition, the crime scene processing does not involve Inafis, and does not install a police line.
