BANJARMASIN - The Banjarmasin Police have fired a member of the police for being involved in a drug crime after being arrested by the South Kalimantan Police's Drug Investigation Directorate last year.

"The general criminal status of an individual with the initials Brigadier HF has signed a sentence of 13 years in prison, so today a dishonorable discharge ceremony (PTDH) was held", said Banjarmasin Police Chief Commissioner Sabana A. Martosumito as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 19.

The police chief reminded all Banjarmasin Police personnel to take lessons from this incident so that they are not easily tempted by drugs.

Commissioner Sabana hopes that similar incidents will not happen again and personnel will really avoid drugs in any form, both as users and even in distributing them.

"Anyway, there is no mercy for members of the Police involved in drugs, (they) will definitely be fired", he said.

The police chief ordered its members to show performance achievements so that they could win awards which in the end had a positive impact on supporting their careers.

Moreover, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo provides the widest possible opportunity for every member of the National Police who excels in any field to get an award.

"Let's work together to make the Banjarmasin Police even better in realizing a Precision Police who sincerely serves the working community, work, work", he said.
