Denies That The Cost Of Renovating Megawati's Workspace Is IDR 6.1 Billion, BRIN: That's The Cost Of The Entire 2nd Floor, Including Room 10 Of The Steering Committee

JAKARTA - Head of the Communication and Secretariat Bureau of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Driszal Friyantoni confirmed the plan to renovate the workspace of the BRIN Steering Committee, Megawati Soekarnoputri. However, the cost did not reach Rp 6.1 billion.

"That's right, we will renovate the room on the 2nd floor," said Driszal when confirmed, Sunday, July 17.

According to him, Rp6.1 billion was the cost of all the rooms on the second floor. There are at least 10 BRIN Steering Committee work rooms.

Among them were Megawati Soekarnoputri, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency Suharso Monoarfa, Sudhamek Agoeng Waspodo Sunyoto, Emil Salim, I Gede Wenten, Bambang Kesowo, Adi Utarini, Marsudi Wahyu Kisworo, and Tri Qualified.

"We will renovate the 2nd floor into workspaces for all 10 members of the Steering Committee. Not only for the chairman of the steering committee himself," said Driszal.

Driszal also said that the BRIN Steering Committee currently uses a temporary room located on the 23rd floor. If the renovation is complete, then the entire BRIN Steering Committee can use the 2nd floor.

"It should also be noted that currently we are still using a temporary room for the members of the steering committee on the 23rd floor. So later all members of the wanrah (Steering Council) can occupy the rooms that we have prepared on the 2nd floor after the renovation is complete," said Driszal.

Previously, it was reported that information was circulating from the Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE) of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) regarding the repair of the workspace of the Chairperson of the BRIN Steering Committee, Megawati Soekarnoputri, with a value of Rp 6 billion.

The Steering Council room that will receive renovation is located on Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta or the central BRIN office.

In the document, the tender for the renovation of Megawati Soekarnoputri's office as the Head of the BRIN Steering Committee has begun on 27 May 2022.

This project will be financed from the APBN with a package ceiling value of Rp. 6,109,000,000.00 and the value of HPS (Self Estimated Price) of Rp. 6,063,492,327.00.
