Beware Of Rain Accompanied By Lightning In The Jakarta Area Saturday 16 July

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reminded residents to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds in the Jakarta area on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

"Be aware of the potential for rain that can be accompanied by lightning in the South Jakarta and East Jakarta areas in the afternoon," the BMKG said on its official website, quoted from Antara, Saturday, July 16.

The BMKG explained that the weather conditions in Jakarta throughout Saturday from morning to night were sunny, cloudy to rainy accompanied by lightning.

BMKG data on Saturday morning stated that the entire administrative area of DKI Jakarta apart from the Thousand Islands in the morning is predicted to be cloudy. For the Thousand Islands, the weather on Saturday morning is expected to be cloudy.

Then, entering the afternoon, West Jakarta is expected to rain with light intensity and cloudy in Central Jakarta. Meanwhile, BMKG predicts that the South Jakarta area will be accompanied by lightning.

The East Jakarta area is expected to rain with light intensity. Then North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands are predicted to be cloudy.

In the evening, West Jakarta and Central Jakarta are cloudy. Then, the areas of South Jakarta and East Jakarta are raining with light intensity, and North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands are cloudy.

Then on Sunday morning, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency estimated that the entire administrative area of DKI Jakarta apart from the Thousand Islands would be cloudy. For the Thousand Islands, the weather is predicted to be light rain.

Meanwhile, the air temperature is estimated to be around 24-33 degrees Celsius. West Jakarta will be in the range of 24-32 degrees, Central Jakarta 25-33 degrees.

Next, South Jakarta and East Jakarta are estimated to be around 24-33 degrees. The North Jakarta administration area is predicted to have a temperature in the range of 25-33, then the Thousand Islands is in the range of 26-31 degrees.

For air humidity, BMKG estimates that the humidity in the DKI Jakarta area will be in the range of 70-95 percent.
