TANGERANG - A man with the initials AS lost his money of Rp. 99 million in an automated teller machine (ATM). Feeling aggrieved, the US made a report to the Balaraja Police.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tangerang City Police, Kompol Zamrul Aini said the incident occurred on Friday July 8, at 15.30 WIB.

"Yes, just now with the police, the Balaraja police have handled it. I've already made a report at the police station, it (the loss) is 99 million," said Zamrul when contacted Thursday, July 14.

Based on the victim's statement, Zamrul said that the incident began when AS came to an ATM at a minimarket in the Balaraja area of Tangerang Regency. Then, two unidentified people (OTK) approached the victim.

"He was taking money at an ATM and then he was squeezed by approximately 2 people, he said. From CCTV there were probably 3-4 people," he said.

At the time of the incident, the victim had difficulty withdrawing money from the ATM machine. Before long, the two people helped the victim to take the money.

"There are 2 men who direct what to do, help, right, it turns out that ATMs were exchanged, without knowingly being exchanged," he said.

After the perpetrators managed to exchange, they sent the money to several accounts. This is known after seeing the mutation of the victim's M-Banking.

"The victim's money after being checked by M-Banking is not there," he said.

Now the police are gathering evidence to solve the case.

"We are still in the process of collecting information and data for further investigation," he concluded.
