Charta Politica Survey: 71.5 Percent Of Central Java Residents Vote For Ganjar Pranowo

JAKARTA - The results of the Charta Politica Indonesia survey photographed the electability of Ganjar Pranowo, who is so dominant in Central Java ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election contestation. The governor of Central Java has a landslide victory over other presidential candidates by earning 71.5 percent.

"Ganjar Pranowo strongly dominates Central Java's public choice as a presidential candidate," said Executive Director of Charta Politica, Yunarto Wijaya in the results of a survey distributed to journalists, Thursday, July 14. In measuring the electability of candidates, Chartapolitika simulated closed questions on 10 names of candidates. As a result, Ganjar Pranowo's electability was ranked first with the acquisition of 71.5 percent. "In the simulation given, the choice of Ganjar Pranowo is far above the other names," added Yunarto.

Prabowo Subianto took the second place with an electability of 7.6 percent. Followed by Anies Baswedan at 6.2 percent, and Ridwan Kamil at 2.3 percent. The fifth rank is Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) at 1.6 percent, the sixth Sandiaga Uno at 1.3 percent, the seventh Erick Thohir at 1.1 percent. The eighth rank was Puan Maharani with an electability of 0.8 percent, the ninth Khofifah Indar Parawansa with 0.8 percent, and the tenth Airlangga Hartarto with 0.1 percent.

Not only conducted in West Java Province, this survey was also conducted simultaneously in Central Java and East Java on June 24-30 2022 with a total sample of 1,200 respondents per province and a margin of error (MoE) of ± 2.83 percent.

The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews using a structured questionnaire with a strict health protocol using a multistage random sampling method at a 95 percent confidence level.
