JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran supports the Head of the Profession and Security Division (Kadiv Propam) of the National Police Inspector General Ferdy Sambo regarding the shooting that killed a member of the National Police, Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat.

Fadil gave motivation to his foster sister through a video that lasted almost one minute that circulated on social media in Jakarta, Thursday, July 13.

"I support my younger brother Sambo to be strong in facing this ordeal. This is not easy and can happen to anyone," said Fadil as quoted by Antara.

In the video, Fadil had a chance to hug Ferdy Sambo. Meanwhile, the Head of the Propam Police Division seemed to be holding back emotions and tears. Ferdy Sambo graduated from the 1994 Police Academy and the younger generation of Fadil, who graduated from the Police Academy in 1991.

Previously, a member of the Police Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat alias J died after being involved in a shootout with fellow Polri member, Bharada E at Ferdy Sambo's residence in the Duren Tiga area, South Jakarta, Friday, July 8.

Allegedly, the shootout was triggered when Brigadier J entered the private room of Ferdy Sambo's wife, Putri Sambo, resulting in harassment and threats using firearms.

Panicked, Putri Sambo shouted, inviting Bharada E to come to the source of the sound.

As he was about to approach, Brigadier J opened fire at Bharada E, causing gunfire to occur.

Brigadier J died at the scene after receiving multiple shots from Bharada E.

In order to reveal the chronology and motive for the incident, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo formed a special team led by Deputy Chief of Police Commissioner General Gatot Eddy Pramono accompanied by Irwasum, Kabareskrim, Kabaintelkam, HR Assistant, Kompolnas and Komnas HAM.
