SOLO - As many as 18 suspects in narcotics and illegal drug abuse cases have been arrested by the Solo Police Narcotics Unit. Dozens of these suspects were arrested between the period of June to July 11, 2022. Not only that, but the officers also uncovered the ways of the dealers so that their drug transactions are not caught by the police.

"Of all the suspects arrested, the Solo Police secured 103.69 grams of crystal methamphetamine with a total value of IDR 110 million," said Solo Police Chief, Pol. Comr. Ade Safri Simanjuntak, Wednesday, July 13.

Of the total suspects, said Ade, four of them are recidivists in the same case. Three of them will only be released in 2021 and one will only be released this year. In addition to confiscating evidence in the form of methamphetamine packages, Ade continued, his party also confiscated other evidence, namely the suspect's cellphone and duct tape.

According to Ade, the meth distribution was broken down into small packages of varying sizes, ranging from 0.5 grams to 1 gram.

"Investigators from the Narcotics Unit of the City Police managed to identify other evidence that had been planted for consumers by placing them in plant pots," explained Ade.

A number of suspects were arrested, namely BTH (33) a resident of Banjarsari Solo who was a recidivist in 2019, released in 2021, ESP (47), a resident of Jebres Solo, who was a recidivist in 2018, released in 2021, EW (16) a recidivist, released in 2022. Imprisoned for one year and VAS (38) Jebres Solo resident is a recidivist in 2018, free in 2021.

Then, NS (46), a woman, a resident of Pasar Kliwon Solo, USA (42), a resident of Jebres Solo, ADS (19) a resident of Pasar Kliwon Solo, AW (22), a resident of Semanggi Pasar Kliwon Solo, AP (51), a resident Jebres Solo and NIS, residents of Pasar Kliwon Solo.

In addition, AYS (19), a resident of Nusukan Banjarsari Solo, JDP (25), Nusukan Banjarsari Solo, RTP (27), a resident of Banjarsari Solo, DS (30) a resident of Baki Sukoharjo and RSN (27), a resident of Baki Sukoharjo.

Meanwhile, the remaining three are TS (33), a resident of Banjarsari Solo, AP (47), a resident of Banjarsari Solo, and ABW (28), a resident of Pasar Kliwon Solo.

"So these suspects inform prospective buyers by placing a sign, then photographing the spot with an arrow for the promised spot buyer to take," he said.

As a result of his actions, the suspect was charged with Articles 112 and 117 regarding narcotics abuse.
