JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri confirmed that his party was continuing to investigate allegations of bribery and gratification in Central Mamberamo Regency, Papua. Eradication of corruption is the commitment of the institution.

"What is certain is that the KPK is committed to resolving corruption cases," Firli told reporters at the ACLC KPK Building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, quoted on Tuesday, June 12.

The KPK, continued Firli, did not hesitate to take action against anyone, including regional heads. However, he does not want to talk much about the suspects named in the alleged bribery and gratification.

The announcement of suspects is usually made when coercive measures such as detention are carried out.

"Whoever he is (will be processed, ed)," said Firli.

"Including the mention of one of the regents, but it will be given in full after everything is clear and clear," added the former Deputy for Enforcement of the KPK.

Previously, the KPK was investigating allegations of bribery and gratification of project implementation in the Central Mamberamo Regency Government, Papua.

In this investigation, a number of witnesses have been examined. Not only that, investigators from the anti-corruption commission conducted a search last Wednesday, July 6 in Bekasi, West Java; Central Jakarta City; and Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta.

As a result, the KPK found documents containing cash flows from the homes of a number of related parties in the area. The evidence will then be analyzed and confiscated later.
