MATARAM - The police confiscated one kilogram of marijuana in a package with brown tape from the arrest of a man with the initials RRY who claimed to be a member of a local band from Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara.

The head of the Mataram Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, Kompol I Made Yogi Purusa Utama, revealed that the man arrested for possessing one kilogram of marijuana had the initials RRY (23).

"We arrested the person concerned in the Pejarakan area, Ampenan," said Yogi in Mataram, Antara, Monday, July 11.

The perpetrator, he explained, was arrested on Saturday afternoon in one of the houses. The police arrested RRY based on the follow-up to the results of the investigation in the field.

"So initially we received information from one of the shipping services in Mataram City. Information related to items suspected of having marijuana type drugs entered Mataram through parcel shipments," he said.

After investigation, the package was taken by RRY. The police conducted a search until they finally caught RRY in the Pejarakan area.

Not stopping at one location, the police carried out developments into RRY's boarding house which was located close to RRY's arrest.

From the second location, the police conducted a search and met RRY's wife. Three medium-sized plastic clip packages containing marijuana, bundles of plastic clips for packaging marijuana, and cigarette paper were also confiscated.

"Of the three packages that we confiscated, one of them was hidden in a guitar, we have already secured it," he said.

The police operation continued until they arrested four people, two of whom were still students. This third location is in the Marong area, Karang Baru Village, Mataram City.

"This third location is what RRY calls the place for ordering," he said.

From the third location, four people were arrested. However, the person referred to as the customer managed to escape when the police arrived at the location.
