DKI Deputy Governor Asks Citayam Teenagers To Be Careful In Sudirman, Don't Lose Wallets When You Come Home

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria asked the teenagers of Citayam, Depok, Bojonggede, and other areas who often hang out in the Sudirman area to be careful and be aware of pickpockets roaming around.

As is known, there have been a number of Citayam residents who were picked up in the Sudirman area until midnight.

"We urge children to be careful. Where there is a crowd, of course the people are not good, pickpockets, hanging around there. So, be careful. Don't let the intentions are good, want to play and travel to Jakarta, go home and get pickpocketed," he said. Riza at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, July 11.

Riza also admitted that he was happy with the presence of Citayam teenagers and other buffer areas who often gathered in the Sudirman area, especially in the area of BNI City Airport Station, Dukuh Atas MRT Station, and Kendal Tunnel.

Riza also appreciated the "SCBD" teenagers who appeared confident by wearing local product clothing. This, he continued, is a sign that Jakarta is one of the attractive tourist destinations for people in the buffer zone of the capital city

"We are grateful that outsiders visited Jakarta, including Citayam residents, seeing the beauty of the city of Jakarta which we continue to beautify. They joke around, try fashion shows. I think it shows that Jakarta is a neat, clean, comfortable place," he said.

However, Riza also did not forget to remind anyone who came to visit the Dukuh Atas area to maintain cleanliness and order.

"The important thing is, let's keep it clean, tidy, orderly, we are happy and appreciate it," said Riza.

Previously, the Menteng Metro Police Chief Kompol Netty Rosdiana Siagian said that six Citayam teenagers aged 13 to 15 years were victims of theft and embezzlement while hanging out in the Sudirman area, precisely in the Kendal Tunnel at 02.00 WIB.
