Police: 4 Victims Died In Accident In Subang Team Of National Team Supporters

BANDUNG - Head of Subang Police Traffic Unit, Iptu Suharyadi, said that the four victims who died in a pickup truck accident that caught fire on the Cipunagara Bridge, Pamanukan District, Subang Regency, West Java, were a group of Indonesian national team supporters.

According to him, the victims were about to go home after watching the U19 Indonesia National Team match from the Patriot CandraBhaga Stadium, Bekasi City, West Java. The accident happened in the early hours of Monday.

"Coming home from watching (the National Team), that's a statement from his nephew who was slightly injured", said Suharyadi as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 11.

Four people died, including the pickup truck driver. The four victims were residents of Indramayu Regency, West Java.

At the time of the incident, according to him, two people died at the scene, while the other two died after being rushed to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo, said that the Daihatsu Gran Max pickup had a license plate number of E 8798 PV.

He explained that the vehicle was traveling from Jakarta to the east or towards Cirebon on the Pantura Line in the fast lane.

"While driving at the location, the vehicle swerved and then hit the median of the road in the form of a sidewalk so that the vehicle caught fire", said Ibrahim.

All the victims of the accident, he said, were residents of the Patrol District, Indramayu Regency. In the accident, four people died and three others were injured.

2. Megan Fitri Aprilian (27), female.

3. Mumtaz Daniel (25), male.

4. Asep (26), male.
