Just Join PPP, Haji Lulung's Children Were Immediately Appointed As Chairman Of The DKI PPP DPW

JAKARTA - The son of the late Abraham Lunggana or Haji Lulung, Guruh Tirta Lunggana has officially moved the party from PAN to PPP. Just joined, Tirta was immediately appointed as Chairman of the DKI Jakarta PPP DPW.

The appointment of this position is based on a decree issued by the Central Executive Board (DPP) of PPP on June 28, 2022. This was stated by the Regional Secretary of PPP DKI Jakarta Najmi Mumtaza Rabbany.

Najmi views that Tirta's appointment as Chairman of the DKI PPP DPW is considered to be able to continue Lulung's leadership while at PPP.

The figure of Tirta is a figure who is similar to his father. His vision of leadership, fighting power, and closeness to society is a positive value for PPP DKI Jakarta," said Najmi in his statement, Thursday, July 7.

Najmi revealed that Tirta's appointment as a replacement for Lulung was in line with the needs of DKI PPP and in accordance with PPP's vision.

This decision illustrates how the central leadership understands the needs of the DKI Jakarta PPP by choosing a person who is familiar with the people and ulama. This decision also shows a positive collaboration between the center and the regions in welcoming 2024," he said.

Some time ago, two members of the National Mandate Party (PAN) faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Guruh Tirta Lunggana and Riano Ahmad decided to leave PAN and move to become cadres of the United Development Party (PPP).

Currently, the son of the late Haji Lulung and Riano already has a member card (KTA) PPP. To reporters, Tirta admitted that he followed in Lulung's footsteps by entering PPP because he wanted to increase the number of PPP votes in the next legislative election.

As is known, during the 2009-2014 period, PPP received 10 seats in the DKI DPRD and received a seat from the Deputy Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

"If his ideals and expectations are, the priority is to restore the glory of PPP. So, what is clear is that he continues the struggle of the deceased which has not been completed," said Tirta.

Then, what will happen to Tirta and Riano in the DKI Jakarta DPRD? Referring to Article 139 Paragraph (2) of Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government, it is stated that Provincial DPRD members are dismissed between times if one of the causes is to become members of other political parties.

Therefore, Tirta also stated that he was ready to be dismissed at the interim replacement (PAW) process with other PAN cadres.
