ACT Is Dogged By Allegations Of Misappropriation Of People's Funds, Deputy Governor Of DKI Affirms There Is No Cooperation In Sacrifice This Year

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, emphasized that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will not cooperate in distributing sacrificial animals for Eid al-Adha with Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) this year.

This was disclosed by Riza in line with the alleged misappropriation of donation funds by ACT officials.

"Regarding ACT, we need to convey that ACT does not have an MoU with the ACT Provincial Government. (This year's distribution of sacrificial animals) is in collaboration with Baznas," said Riza at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, July 6.

As is known, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, had indeed made a program to provide and provide processed food for sacrificial meat with ACT in August 2018. In the same year, Anies also collaborated with ACT in distributing humanitarian aid to victims of the earthquake in Lombok.

Even though he once admitted that he would evaluate the cooperation mechanism between the DKI Provincial Government and ACT, Riza emphasized that the problem that was currently plaguing ACT and being investigated by the police was not related to the cooperation between the DKI Provincial Government.

"The internal problems of ACT have nothing to do with the provincial government. Of course, the name of the provincial government is that if it cooperates with parties, third parties build synergies and collaborations and continue to monitor and evaluate supervision," he said.

As is known, the humanitarian agency ACT is suspected of misusing the budget for the personal interests of its leaders. This was revealed from the latest edition of Tempo Magazine's investigative report.

While serving as President of ACT, Ahyudin allegedly earned a salary of Rp. 250 million every month. Meanwhile, for positions below him, such as senior vice president, the salary is Rp. 200 million per month, vice president is Rp. 80 million, and executive director is Rp. 50 million.

According to a Tempo magazine report, Ahyudin was facilitated by three luxury vehicles when he served as President of ACT, such as the Toyota Alphard, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, and Honda CRV. It was also found that ACT funds were used for Ahyudin's personal interests for household purposes.
