Head of Security for Class IIA Narcotics Correctional Institution (KPLP) Bandar Lampung Ade Heri Setiawan said that as many as 50 inmates experienced face-to-face visits to meet relatives today.

"Today we are opening the first face-to-face visit for the families and inmates," said Ade in Bandar Lampung, Tuesday, July 5.

He said face-to-face visits would be open from Monday to Saturday. For families of inmates who will visit in order to prepare identity requirements in the form of ID cards, family cards, and booster vaccines.

"That's mandatory, if you can't show evidence that you have a booster vaccine, it can be replaced by showing evidence of antigen to officers," he said, according to Antara.

Ade added that his party will divide each block for the inmates whose families will visit. He gave a visit time of 15 minutes for each inmate.

During the first face-to-face visit, Ade continued, his party will tighten security for every visiting family of inmates.

He placed several officers, both outside and inside, who would check the family belongings of the inmates who entered and register.

"When inside, we prepare officers, both male and female, who will examine the bodies of the families of the inmates. In this face-to-face visit, we prioritize the nuclear family of the inmates," he said.

He appealed to the families of the inmates not to bring and try to smuggle prohibited items into the prison. He emphasized that strict action would be taken against any family of inmates caught carrying prohibited items.

"We ask for his cooperation because if the officers find out, we will take firm action and not be indiscriminate," he said.
