SELATAN MINAHASA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) will soon build permanent housing for residents of Amurang beach abrasion victims, South Minahasa Regency (Minsel), North Sulawesi (North Sulawesi).

"The permanent residence will be built on land donated by the Deputy Governor of North Sulawesi Steven Kandouw in Rumoong Bawah," said Head of the South Minahasa Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Thorie R Joseph in Manado as reported by Antara, Monday, July 4.

This permanent residence is a continuation of the construction of temporary housing built by the South Minahasa Regency Government.

"So, residents who are victims of abrasion will occupy temporary housing for a certain time, and after the construction of permanent housing is completed, they will be immediately moved," he said.

There are 116 permanent housing units that will be built by the PUPR Ministry this year.

"The land is ready and just waiting for construction from the PUPR Ministry," he said.

Residents who will occupy the permanent residence are victims who are in a radius of 20 meters from the coast. In this radius, many houses of residents are uninhabitable after being destroyed by abrasion.
