JAKARTA - The Investigating Prosecutor at the Directorate of Investigation of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) The Attorney General's Office examined the Head of the Center for Security and Enforcement of Environmental and Forestry Law (Gakkum LHK) for the Sumatra region regarding the Duta Palma Group case.

Sumedana explained that EH was investigated in connection with the investigation of a case of alleged corruption in the implementation activities carried out by PT Duta Palma Group in Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau.

In addition to examining EH, the Investigating Prosecutors Team also examined two other people, namely TTG as Director of PT Seberida Subus and Director of PT Panca Argo Lestari and PA as Managing Director of PT Duta Palma Nusantara.

"The examination of witnesses is carried out to strengthen evidence and complete the filing in cases of alleged criminal acts of corruption in the implementation activities carried out by PT Duta Palma Group in Indragiri Hulu Regency," said Sumedana.

Previously, on Monday (27/6), Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin announced that the status of the alleged corruption case of PT Duta Palma Group in Indragiri Hulu Regency was officially raised from investigation to investigation level.

The AGO said that PT Duta Palma Group had illegally managed 37,095 hectares of land which caused losses to the country's economy.
