BMKG: There Is Potential For Heavy Rain In Several Areas In Indonesia

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning regarding heavy rains that could potentially fall today in parts of Indonesia, including several provinces in Java, Kalimantan and Sulawesi.

In a weather early warning quoted from Jakarta, Saturday, July 2, the BMKG predicts heavy rain which can be accompanied by strong winds and lightning with the potential to fall in Aceh, South Sumatra, Lampung, West Java, East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara. .

Reporting from Antara, heavy rains can also occur in North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, North Maluku, Maluku, West Papua and Papua.

Meanwhile, the Riau Islands, Central Java and DI Yogyakarta have the potential to experience strong winds.

Several major cities in the country that may experience rain today are Bandung in West Java and Ambon in Maluku, which are predicted to experience moderate intensity rain during the day. Meanwhile, moderate rain also has the potential to fall in Mamuju in West Sulawesi at night.

For the DKI Jakarta area, BMKG predicts sunny cloudy weather throughout the afternoon, evening and early this morning in the five administrative cities. Meanwhile, cloudy weather has the potential to occur in the Thousand Islands during the day and partly cloudy at night and in the early morning.
