MAKASSAR - The joint SAR team went to look for a teenager Rusli (18) who wanted to clear land in the forest area of Mount Tompobulu, in Tompobulu District, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi but has not yet returned to his family.

"We have received a report from his family if the child does not return until Thursday (30/6)," said Head of the South Sulawesi Basarnas Office, Djunaidi in Makassar, quoted by Antara, Friday, July 1.

He explained, from the family's information, since Wednesday (29/06) morning, he went to the forest with his uncle and separated in the middle of the forest, because he would cut down trees in different locations.

It's just that when it was noon at lunch time, the victim did not return home nor did he meet his uncle again in the forest.

"The victim's uncle was waiting at the location where they were separated, but Rusli didn't come until late in the evening," he said.

Following up on this, the victim's family and residents have searched around the forest, but have not found the victim until they were finally reported to the police, which was then forwarded to the South Sulawesi Basarnas.

Responding to this, continued Djunaidi, his party dispatched personnel to assist in the search at the location.

Until now, the team which was dispatched since 14.50 WITA, Thursday (30/6) has yet to produce any results. However, the Joint SAR Team is still searching and hopes that Rusli can be found.
