JAKARTA - Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) urges the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to impose severe sanctions on KPK Deputy Chair Lili Pintauli Siregar if he is proven to have received facilities and tickets for the Mandalika MotoGP.

ICW researcher Kurnia Ramadhana said the severe sanction that could be imposed was a request for resignation. This is because he is considered not only to have violated ethics but is also suspected of committing gratification.

"ICW asks the Supervisory Board not to hesitate to impose severe sanctions in the form of a request for resignation as the Chair of the KPK," said Kurnia in a written statement, Thursday, June 30.

This sanction, continued Kurnia, is in accordance with Article 10 Paragraph 4 letter B of the KPK Council Regulation Number 2 of 2020.

Kurnia said this request was not just given. He said, there are a number of supporting arguments.

"First, the actions allegedly committed by Ms. Lili are not merely a violation of ethics, but also include the criminal realm, namely gratification," said the anti-corruption activist.

The second argument was that Lili was deemed appropriate to be asked to resign by the KPK Supervisory Board because she had been declared to have violated ethics before.

"Therefore, based on this argument, the Supervisory Board should naturally have the courage to ask Ms. Lili to immediately leave the KPK," said Kurnia.

Furthermore, Kurnia said, the destruction of the KPK could be seen if Lili was proven guilty for allegedly receiving facilities and tickets for the Mandalika MotoGP from PT Pertamina (Persero).

"How not, apart from the poor performance of the institution for the last three years, it was also followed by the low integrity of its leaders," he said.

"It should be remembered, if it is added to Lili's alleged error, during the last three years the KPK leadership for the 2019-2023 period has been proven to have violated the code of ethics four times. Each was done by Firli Bahuri twice and Lili Pintauli," continued Kurnia.

Previously reported, member of the KPK Supervisory Board, Albertina Ho, said that Lili's alleged receipt of accommodation and tickets for the Mandalika MotoGP would be continued in an ethics trial. However, it is not yet known when the trial will take place.

Lili was again reported to the KPK Council for allegedly receiving hotel accommodation facilities and tickets to watch the 2022 MotoGP race at the Mandalika International Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), from PT Pertamina (Persero).

The KPK Council has also collected materials and information from related parties, including the state-owned company. President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati has also been examined some time ago and provided additional information in writing.

Not only that, the KPK Council has also asked related parties to bring proof of booking accommodation at Amber Lombok Beach Resort and Mandalika MotoGP tickets at the Grandstand Premium Zone A-Red.
