BATAM - A total of 14 hajj candidates from the Hang Nadim Batam Embarkation Group 12 are equipped with smart watches. They are at high risk (risky) to health.

"In this 12th batch, there are 14 pilgrims who use smartwatches because they are risky, namely hypertension and heart disease," said Indonesian Hajj Health Workers (TKHI) for Group 12, dr. Lisa Susanti during an interview in Batam, quoted from Antara, Monday 27 June.

Until now, Lisa has ensured that the members of the risti Kloter 12 are in good health. He said the use of smart watches had been given to the congregation while they were still at the Hajj Embarkation between Jambi.

"So far our congregation, Alhamdulillah, are in good condition, we have provided them with smart watches so we can monitor them via cellphones. Even though they are sitting far away, we can see their condition, blood pressure and oxygen saturation," he said.

As for the 12th batch, there were 30 hajj candidates who had a high risk, but the TKHI prioritized the use of the smart watch for JCHs aged 60 years and over who were accompanied by comorbidities.

"Those we wear smart watches are at risk, and there are 30 at risk, but we give it to those who have high blood pressure, aged 60 years and over and comorbid," said Lisa.

Meanwhile, a nurse from the Hang Nadim Batch 12 Embarkation Batam, Nursahid, appealed to all hajj candidates to always drink mineral water mixed with ORS when in the Holy Land.

This is considering the hot weather conditions that occur in Saudi Arabia of up to 48 degrees.

Before departure, the congregation has been advised to drink a lot, don't wait to be thirsty.

"Sometimes the congregation thinks that if they drink a lot they urinate often, even though it doesn't have to be excreted through urination, but can also be passed through sweat. So don't be afraid, the important thing is to drink a lot of ORS mixed to replace lost fluids," said Nursahid .*
