Affirms That The Meeting Between Ganjar And AHY Was Just A Coincidence, Hasto: Framing Non-Framing Is Common In Politics

JAKARTA - The Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto emphasized that the meeting between the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo and the General Chair of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti during Friday prayers was just a coincidence.

Ganjar Pranowo and AHY met at the Nurul Hidayah Mosque, Brawijaya, South Jakarta on Friday, June 24 yesterday. The two of them who had just finished Friday prayers seemed to talk for a while.

Hasto said he had heard directly from Ganjar about the meeting. From the cadre's statement, his meeting with AHY was just a coincidence and nothing else was discussed apart from the usual greetings.

"I have asked Pak Ganjar about the meeting, it was a coincidence," said Hasto to reporters at the JCC, Senayan, Saturday, June 25.

Hasto also emphasized that the meeting between the two figures was not intentional. "It's a normal meeting, we meet with friends from the press in this place," he said.

In the 20-second video that went viral, it was also seen that there were the 10th and 12th Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla. Hasto does not mind if there are parties who try to frame Ganjar, AHY and JK meet.

"Non-framing framing is common in politics," said Hasto.

As previously reported, the meeting between Ganjar and AHY was recorded in a video that was widely circulated.

In the video, Ganjar and AHY who met at the mosque seemed to greet each other. AHY was heard asking about the event of the Second PDI-P National Working Meeting (Rakernas) in 2021, which was held on June 21-23, 2022.

"Yesterday, the National Working Meeting went smoothly," said AHY.

Ganjar answered that question that the PDIP National Working Meeting was running smoothly. He also mentioned that during the agenda he was staying at the PDIP Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta.

"Yes, thank God, thank God, let's go camping first," said Ganjar.
