JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD invites the TNI to always maintain the enforcement and protection of human rights (HAM) in the country which has received a good assessment from the UN Human Rights Council.

In the briefing which was also attended by the Army Chief of Staff (Kasad) General Dudung Abdurrahman, Mahfud appreciated the TNI which for the past 7 years has always been the most trusted institution by the public based on survey results from a number of credible institutions.

"I congratulate and thank you because based on a survey of credible institutions, it is stated that the TNI is the most trusted institution by the public compared to other institutions in Indonesia," he said.

Therefore, said Mahfud, the TNI, especially the Army, must be able to respond wisely to various developments in the situation and conditions, both on a national, regional and global scale that have an impact on the stability and security situation of Indonesia, especially in the midst of the preparation and implementation of the 2024 General Election.

At the end of his directive, Mahfud hoped that the TNI could be a role model for the community in supporting the national economic recovery, structural reforms, and overcoming the difficulties of the people around them with the tasks of military operations other than war.
