JAKARTA - The signs of a coalition between the National Democratic Party (NasDem), the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and the Democratic Party are getting clearer.

Initially, the chairman of the NasDem DPP, Willy Aditya, implied that the NasDem Party consisted of a combination of two colors, yellow, gold and blue. According to him, the yellow-gold party, PKS, has come to its headquarters, so it's just a matter of waiting for the blue party.

The one blue party is rumored to be visiting the NasDem DPP Office in Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, today, Thursday, June 23. However, on yesterday's occasion Willy was reluctant to confirm that the party was the Democratic Party.

"God willing, there will be more tomorrow. We'll just have to wait. NasDem is a combination of blue and yellow gold. Yes, today the yellow gold is coming, tomorrow we will see again. The party is open," said Willy at the NasDem Tower, Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, 22 June.

As is known, the General Chair of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, has received a visit from PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu and his staff to the NasDem DPP Office in Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, June 22, yesterday.

He hopes that this visit will be a good start to prepare for consolidation towards the 2024 General Election. Even though there has not been an agreement on a coalition of the two political parties, he hopes.

"We haven't gotten there yet (the coalition). We're looking around, exploring each other. Let's look at the two bags of the secretary general, are there any contents or not? It means that the atmosphere is still liquid until then," said Surya Paloh at the NasDem Tower , Wednesday, June 22.

However, Surya admits that there are many similarities between the NasDem Party and PKS. Namely, mutual respect for the meaning of the existence of political institutions is a super strategic position in continuing the development of the nation.

"Secondly, we are very aware that the struggles of all the nation's problems which are so complex cannot be solved by only one political party institution, one group, one person. This must be realized by knitting together cooperation with the parties. That is what we have in common," said Surya Paloh.

"Thirdly, which is no less important, we bring closer, place and grow the values of the Pancasila ideological commitment above the interests of the two parties," he continued. Surya also did not deny that in the future NasDem will knit a coalition with PKS for the 2024 election, especially the presidential election. In fact, he also gave a signal that he would communicate with the Democratic Party, which is scheduled to visit the NasDem headquarters, Thursday, June 23, this afternoon.

"Ah, the possibility (coalition) exists, that's clear. (But) We don't know when, we don't know," he explained.

"I heard there was news, there was confirmation maybe friends from the Democratic party, maybe tomorrow they will visit here. I'll just hear that we'll confirm again whether it's true or not," added Surya.

On the same occasion, PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu also acknowledged many points of commonality in the two-hour discussion.

"God willing, by making us in PKS and NasDem there will be many meeting points towards big agendas that certainly need to be prepared. Of course, it's not just today that we stay in touch, but God willing, we will follow up on a more technical level at the political elite level. Hopefully we can we do," said Shaykh.

"From the steps and good intentions to improve our country, hopefully Allah will provide a way to facilitate togetherness, collaboration to build a better country," he continued.

NasDem Schedules Meeting with Democrats Today

Secretary General of the NasDem Party Johnny G Plate said Democratic Party chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono is scheduled to meet with NasDem Chairman Surya Paloh at NasDem Tower, Thursday, June 23, today.

"At around 11.00 WIB there will be a meeting. And this meeting is getting more intense, another meeting with Pak SBY and Mas AHY," said Johnny at the NasDem Tower, Wednesday, June 22.

AHY's arrival at the NasDem office was to follow up on previous communications. The discussion will be devoted to the presidential candidate for the 2024 presidential election. In which, NasDem already has three names to offer to prospective coalition partners.

"In order to open communication more specifically and openly. NasDem produced presidential candidates during the last National Working Meeting, and meetings to form a political coalition," said Johnny.

Even so, Johnny, who is also the Minister of Communication and Information, emphasized that NasDem and Democrats will not form a coalition for the 2019 presidential election at the meeting tomorrow. The meeting, he said, was only in the context of updating the latest political conditions.

PKS Secretary General Aboe Bakar Alhabsyi also highlighted the news that the Democratic Party would come to the NasDem Office. He understands the assessment carried out by the two political parties.

Even Aboe said, this was also done by PKS and PKB who were trying to form the Red Ant Coalition. However, it seems that PKS is more likely to form a coalition with NasDem and Democrats.

Aboe also said that PKS also had the intention of meeting with the Democrats to explore communication. If this happens, the signal of the coalition of the three political parties seems to be getting more real.

Democratic Party spokesman Herzaky Mahendra Putra agreed that there would be a meeting agenda between General Chair Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono and NasDem Chairperson Surya Paloh at NasDem Tower, Thursday, June 23. The meeting is scheduled to start at 11.00 WIB.

"The plan is to take it to the NasDem Tower in the afternoon. Those present are the Ketum AHY accompanied by Secretary General Teuku Riefky and several other terrace administrators," said Herzaky to reporters, Wednesday, June 23, evening.

Interestingly, the Head of the Democrat Party's DPP Strategic Communication Agency revealed another meeting between the Democratic Secretary General Teuku Riefky Harsya and the PKs Secretary General Aboe Bakar Alhabsyi.

The news was known after a photo of the two secretary generals laughing at each other circulated. The meeting is said to have taken place after PKS visited the NasDem Party.
