Vocational School Students In Bali Desperate To Steal Offering Money To Pay Tuition Fees

GIANYAR - A vocational school student with the initial N stole sesari money or offerings from the Pura Dalem box, Banjar Pujung, Sebatu Village, Tegalalang District, Gianyar Regency, Bali.

The student admitted to stealing to pay for the Education Development Contribution (SPP) at her school.

"But that's just a confession from her", said Tegalalang Police Chief AKP I Ketut Sudita, Wednesday, June 22.

The theft of sesari money occurred on Monday, June 20 afternoon, which was immediately reported to the police.

From checking CCTV footage, it appears that students in school uniforms enter the temple area. The next day the perpetrator was arrested.

During interrogation, the student admitted to taking the sesari money by breaking the glass of the sesari box.

"The amount of money taken was IDR 170 thousand", said AKP Sudita.

After stealing the sesari money, the student immediately paid the tuition arrears at school

"This child, only four years old (left behind in marriage with his parents) has remarried. His parents left his house so he is at home with his grandfather. In the future, we have coordinated with the Prajuru (Traditional Officers) how to make this matter discussed", said AKP Sudita.
