Ganjar-Bambang Pacul Salaman At The Opening Of The National Working Meeting, PDIP Deputy Secretary General: It Should Be Like That

JAKARTA - The Deputy Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Arif Wibowo spoke about the command greeting that occurred between the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, and the Chairman of the PDIP Bappilu, Bambang Wuryanto or Bambang Pacul. This moment occurred during the opening of the PDIP National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at the Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 21.

According to him, there is nothing strange about the command greeting. Fellow party cadres are required to be solid and upright with PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"But that's how it should be, everything has to be up to the president's decision, the party's orders," Arif told reporters, quoted on Wednesday, June 22.

Arif said it was natural that there would be differences of opinion between fellow cadres, but this could not mean that the two were in conflict. PDI-P is sure to remain solid following Megawati's direction.

"So it's not something extraordinary. It's normal. There are people who have different opinions, why are they considered as conflicts," said Arif.

"We must be solid. As long as he feels he is a cadre, he must be upright. It is not a matter of ethics, but also his political moral obligations," he said.

Furthermore, Arif also mentioned Megawati's firmness towards her cadres. He said, this is a natural thing if a general chairman is firm with his cadres.

"The name is a cadre, you must be a strict mother. If you don't want to follow party rules, party policies, party decisions, just leave the party, right," he said.

Previously, Ganjar and Bambang Pacul seemed familiar with the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo at the 2021 National Working Meeting (Rakernas) II.

Judging by the VOI who came to the location, at first Ganjar and Bambang Pacul seemed to greet the cadres in the PDIP II National Working Meeting which was held at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta today, Tuesday, June 21.

Not only Bambang Pacul, the chairman of the PDIP faction in the DPR RI, Utut Adianto, also spoke with Ganjar. They even shook hands after talking.

Utut then reheated the room by asking Ganjar and Bambang Pacul to repeat the command greetings they did. After that, a room was boisterous and screams of 'freedom' were heard.

This moment is in the spotlight because these two politicians are often reported to be at odds over the affairs of the presidential nomination. Bambang Pacul is said to have rejected Ganjar as a presidential candidate. He even quipped several times and made strong statements to Ganjar.
