2 Men Who Robbed A Bag Containing Rp60 Million In Medan Were Arrested By The Police

MEDAN - Two men who robbed a bag containing Rp60 million in cash belonging to the victim named Siwan Berutu (27) on Jalan AH Nasution, Medan City were arrested by the Delitua Police Criminal Investigation Unit team.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Delitua Police, Iptu Irwanta, said that the two perpetrators arrested were K (42) and HT (41). Both are residents of Jalan Parang, Kwala Bekala Village, Medan Johor District.

Iptu Irwanta Sembiring said the robbery occurred when the victim was standing in front of Ayam Penyet Surabaya. Not long after, the perpetrators who got into the car grabbed the victim and immediately took her bag.

"There was a tug-of-war between the victim and the perpetrator," said Iptu Irwanta, Tuesday, June 21.

However, the perpetrator hit the victim's hand so that the victim's bag was finally taken away. The victim then filed a report with the police.

The Delitua Police, who received the incident report, investigated the case until they were finally able to identify the car used by the perpetrator during the action.

"Officers found the car used by the perpetrator to carry out the robbery at Octa Br Sinambela's house on Jalan Bahagia," he said.

After that, the police then interrogated the owner of the car and it was revealed that the car was rented by suspect K.

Armed with this information, the police immediately hunted down the perpetrator and secured him on Jalan Jamin Ginting, Mangga Village, Medan Tuntungan District.

When interrogated, the perpetrator admitted all his actions and said he had committed a robbery with four other perpetrators. From the results of the theft, K claimed to have received a share of Rp. 11 million.

"He admitted that he actually rented an Avanza along with four of his friends to carry out a robbery against the victim," he said.

After that, the police then chased the other perpetrators until finally securing the perpetrators of HT. From the results of the robbery, HT admitted to getting a share of Rp. 11.5 million.

"Perpetrator D and two others are still DPOs," he said.
