JAKARTA - Dmitry Muratov is making the Kremlin hot again. The investigative newspaper editor Novaya Gazeta, who won the Nobel Peace Prize, has just auctioned his medal.
The goal is clearly to irritate Russia. The auction proceeds are to help children displaced by the war in Ukraine.

In a video released by Heritage Auctions, which handled the sale, Muratov said he wanted the sale to be the start of a followable movement so people auction off their valuables to help Ukraine.
"If we look at the number of refugees, we are basically experiencing a third world war, not a local conflict," he said.
"This is a mistake, and we have to end it."
