Annoyed Asking For Divorce, Husband Without A Job Can't Wait To Flush Wife With Hard Water

BEKASI – SHD (25), a woman who became a victim of her husband's violence, K (26). SHD suffered burns after being doused with hard water by her husband. Not only SHD, his mother-in-law and 2 year old son were also exposed to hard water.

Information obtained, the incident occurred at the home of the husband and wife (couple), in Jagawana Village, Sukarukun, Sukatani, Bekasi Regency, Monday, June 20, at around 03.00 WIB.

When confirmed, the Bekasi Metro Police Chief, Kombes Gidion Arif Setyawan, said that the incident began with a dispute between the victim and the perpetrator. Gidion said, the commotion that often occurs is only about household economic problems.

"A quarrel is the problem, when he sleeps, he pours (hard water) on his wife and children," explained Gidion, when confirmed by VOI via text message, Monday, June 20.

Gidion detailed that due to household economic problems, the perpetrator's wife asked for a divorce. Gidion explained, because the husband does not work and is considered unable to provide for the family. Then, continued Gidion, the husband always threatened his wife every time she asked for a divorce.

"While the victim was sleeping, the perpetrator came and immediately broke down the door and then poured hard water on the victim's body," said Gidion.

Suddenly, the victim was in pain and screamed for help with her two children. The screams in the early morning made the residents awake. The three victims were immediately rescued by residents and rushed to the hospital.

The three victims, continued Gidion, have now been taken to Medika Hospital, Pasirgombong for treatment. Meanwhile, the perpetrator fled after committing the crime.

"Not yet bang (arrested), still being chased." said Gidion.
