BMKG Balikpapan Monitoring There Are 11 Hotspots In Three Regencies

BALIKPAPAN - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) through its station in Balikpapan City has again detected 11 hot spots in three districts in East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim).

"A total of 11 hot spots were monitored on Friday from 01.00 WITA to 17.00 WITA spread over three regencies/cities," said Class I Station Forecaster, Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman (SAMS) Sepinggan BMKG Balikpapan, Iwan Munandar, to Antara in Balikpapan. , Saturday, June 18.

He immediately informed the distribution of the 11 hot spots to related parties, especially to the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), both East Kalimantan Province and local regencies/cities, in order to obtain further treatment.

The 11 hot spots spread across three regencies/cities in East Kalimantan today are in Samarinda City there is 1 hot spot, in Kutai Kartanegara Regency 3 hot spots, and in East Kutai Regency there are 7 hot spots.

The details are the hot spots in Samarinda City are in North Samarinda District with a medium confidence level, at coordinates of 117.2594 longitude and -0.4474 latitude.

The 3 hot spots in Kutai Kartanegara Regency were detected in two sub-districts, namely in Loa Janan District there were 2 hot spots and 1 point was detected in Loa Kulu District. All three have a medium level of confidence.

Meanwhile, the 7 hot spots monitored in East Kutai Regency are spread over three sub-districts, namely 3 hot spots in North Sangatta District, 3 hot spots in Kaubun District, and 1 more hot spot in Bengalon District.

"All hot spots in East Kutai Regency have a medium level of confidence. The 11 hot spots monitored today are at different coordinates from the previously monitored hot spots, even though they are in the same sub-district," said Iwan.
