JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) received 524 reports of complaints against prosecutors for a year. Most of the reports have been resolved by giving disciplinary witnesses to 109 prosecutors' employees.

"We resolved 317 reports of complaints and imposed disciplinary sentences against 109 employees of the AGO," Head of the Legal Information Center of the AGO, Hari Setiyono, told reporters, Monday, October 26.

The disciplinary witnesses being dropped, said Hari, in accordance with the Indonesian Attorney's Office Regulation No.11 of 2019 concerning the career management of Attorney employees. There are 28 employees who were transferred from their positions.

"Based on the consideration, there are indications of deviations in authority, namely 2 officials at echelon II level, 5 officials at echelon III level, 17 officials at echelon IV level, and Functional Prosecutors and other echelon V level, namely 4 people," said Hari.

According to him, 524 reports of complaints mostly occurred in 2020. While the rest are reports that have not been resolved in 2019.

"The remaining reports of complaints in 2019 were 206 complaints, and there were 318 complaint reports submitted in 2020 with a total of 524 complaint reports," said Hari.
