COVID-19 Update As Of June 15: Continues To Increase, Today Adds 1,242 Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 79,001 specimens were examined with the result that there were 1,242 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,063,251 and active cases have increased by 709 to 6,007", said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, June 15.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 154 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 143 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 95 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 55 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 99,717,929.

"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 1.06 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 4,455 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 200,941,640 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 168,183,942 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 48,038,725. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
