MECCA - The Saudi Arabian Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) has ensured the readiness of facilities for Indonesian pilgrims in the city of Mecca ahead of the arrival of pilgrims from the city of Medina.

Pilgrims from the first flying group are scheduled to start moving from Medina to Mecca on June 12, 2022.

"Three services, namely accommodation, catering, and transportation, we make sure that when all the pilgrims arrive all are ready", said Deputy Chairman of PPIH Saudi Arabia, Nasrullah Jasam, in Mecca, Friday 10 nights.

"Everything has been checked and thank God it's ready", said the Consul for Hajj at the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah, as quoted by Antara.

He said that the hotel which had not been used for two years because Saudi Arabia did not accept pilgrims from abroad during the COVID-19 pandemic was confirmed to be ready for use.

Catering service providers, he continued, have also confirmed that they are ready to provide three meals for the Indonesian congregation.

In addition, according to him, PPIH has checked the readiness of the buses that will be used to deliver and pick up the congregation.

"We have also checked that, even a few months ago, today we checked again when the pilgrims arrived, six to seven buses were prepared for Umrah", he said.

PPIH has prepared buses to serve Indonesian pilgrims in five sectors, namely Mahbas Jin, Syisyah, Raudhah, Jarwal, and Misfalah.

Buses with a capacity of 70 people will be operated for 24 hours to take pilgrims from the hotel to the Grand Mosque and vice versa.

Nasrullah reminded the message of the Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas to the hajj officers to try to provide the best service to the pilgrims.

According to data from the Ministry of Religion, as many as 18,179 hajj candidates from Indonesia who are members of 46 flying groups have arrived in the city of Medina.
