KPK Will Recall Suspect Of Alleged Corruption Of The Kingmi Mile Church Papua

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will recall the suspect in the alleged corruption case of the Kingmi Mile 32 Church in Mimika, Papua. The summons was made because he was not present at the examination scheduled for today, Friday, June 10.

"The KPK investigation team will reschedule (the summons, ed). We will tell you the time further," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Friday, June 10.

This suspect, continued Ali, was not present and has sent his confirmation to the investigative team.

"The information we have obtained has confirmed that the investigation team will not be able to attend today," he said.

Regarding the name of the suspect in this case, the KPK has not been able to announce it. However, there are two people whose legal status has been determined.

Ali said the construction and suspects would be announced through a press conference.

"The names of the parties who have been named as suspects and the articles that have been applied will be officially and fully conveyed at a later time when this investigation is sufficient," he stressed.

Previously, the KPK had also summoned another suspect in this case on Tuesday, June 7. However, he was also not present even though he had been asked to cooperate.

For information, the church construction project is alleged to have cost up to Rp160 billion. The construction process started in 2015.
